We decided we would do a "Flash Back Friday" each and every Friday. These posts will be pictures from years ago. So yesterday should have been the first Friday; however, with the Holidays and such.....we are a little delayed. But, better late than never.......

Emery May Linde a NEW picture!

Here is the lastest picture of Emery. She is doing well, still in the NICU, but she is nursing now, and breathing on her own. Easton states, "mom, she is the most adorable baby ever". He is so in love with his sweet, little daughter. They do not know when she will be coming home yet. Hopefully, it will be soon. Bridget has been discharged from the hospital and is feeling better.

NANCY JUST CALLED. WILL GIVE YOU GOOD NEWS FIRST. EASTON SEND HER A PHOTO OF THE BABY, ON THE CELL PHONE. THEY TOLD BRIDGET SINCE SHE WAS STILL ON OXYGEN SHE COULD NOT GO SEE THE BABY. NANCY TOLD HIM TO TELL THE NURSES TO GET A PORTABLE OXYGEN TANK AND WHEEL HER IN TO SEE THE BABY. HE DID, AND ALTHOUGH SHE CAN'T HOLD HER YET SHE DID GET TO SEE HER AND FEELS BETTER.

NANCY SAID THAT THE PHOTO LOOKED AS IF SHE HAD A PACIFIER IN HER MOUTH.
SEEMS WHEN THE NURSE WAS TAKING VITALS SHE TURNED AWAY AND THEN HEARD THIS LOUD SUCKING SOUND, SHE CHECKED AND THE BABY WAS SUCKING HER THUMB..SO SHE GAVE HER THE PACIFIER. SHE LOOKS GOOD AND IS HOPING TO GET OUT OF ICU BY TOMORROW.

THE MEDICINE THEY GAVE BRIDGET ALSO AFFECTED EMERY, SO JUST AFTER SHE WAS BORN SHE CODED AND THEY DID COMPRESSIONS AND VENTILATOR TO GET HER BACK. POOR EASTON WAS JUST IN SHOCK.. NANCY TRIED SO HARD TO BE STRONG FOR HIM BUT SHE WAS ALSO TERRIFIED.. KNOWING WHAT SHE DOES ABOUT THIS TYPE OF SITUATION. SHE FINALLY BROKE DOWN WHEN SHE WAS ALONE AND GOING HOME. SHE CALLED ME AND WE BOTH HAD DIFFICULTY. BUT ALL SEEMS WELL NOW. WILL LET YOU KNOW MORE WHEN I DO.

Emery May Linde was born on Thursday, December 18, weighing 7 pounds 4 ounces! She is having a rough start so we ask that you keep her, Bridget and Easton in your prayers! We will keep you updated on her progress!

Update on Elder Linde in Africa.....

Elder Linde sent this pictures from Africa. He seems to be doing well and the work is progressing.
We are all so proud of him.

Elder Linde recently sent the following email:

How are you doing? It was again great to read your email this week. I am happy to be here and to be with my people, even though I am missing the Sierra Leone people like crazy. Just so you know I am bluffing the others, but I want you to really win. (We play in a fantasy football league as a family and that is what he is referring to) I just don’t want the others to know. I really love you the most hahahaha. Well, things are going well just working hard. I don’t really care about the Christmas party all I want to do is speak to you and hear your voice again. That is the best thing. I hope you are doing well. I have changed a lot in my life but, I am still me. I am happy for Brayden too much. Tell him good job and to keep working hard . Mom I hope to see you soon and I know it will be short just 10 more months. LOVE YOU!

So Karl was driving home (to Henderson) from a job interview in Las Vegas and the local Sports Radio (KWWN: ESPN Radio in Las Vegas) decided to have a contest for an announcer (they needed someone to announce the weigh-ins on at the Boxing Championships Friday night); so, Karl went down and auditioned and the listeners picked the winner......which would be KARL!!! Yes, it is true! Karl is announcing the weigh-ins on Friday Night at the MGM for the World Championship Unification Bout. He also won tickets to the Title Match on Saturday, dinner at the MGM, an autographed (Ricky Hatton and Paulie Malignaggi) boxing glove and $20 bucks! Oscar De La Hoya will also be there too. We are so excited for him. Good Luck babe, I'm not a big boxing fan; but, I am a HUGH Karl FAN!!!

Here is the latest picture of Allysa (Wendy's Daughter) and her Husband Karl. Allysa was 32 weeks along in this picture. She is about 35 weeks along right now. Its hard to believe that they only have about two weeks left before they think the girls will be here! They are very excited and are working hard to be ready :) We are so happy for them!! Elder Linde (Quinn) sent more letters and pictures from Africa. He writes:

Well first and foremost thank you so much for the effort you have put in to make me happy. I will be anxiously awaiting my package. I cant wait. Its always nice to know somewhere in the world you still have people who really love you. I am doing really good. Just taking it easy and relaxing, but working hard too. We will be planning a lot of baptisms for December so we will see what happens with it.

THE NEXT LETTER:

I RECEIVED MY PACKAGE today.....I AM SO HAPPY YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It is great mom. I cant believe you put cookies inside there. I think I have died and gone to heaven hahaha. Tell grandma that I am very thankful for all the effort she has given me. Again I am so thankful for you and for all the effort you have put in for me this Christmas. Know how much I love you and care for you. I know one thing, my family is the best in the whole world. I think about you all the time. Only ten more months left for me. I pray you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, because we are going to be spoiled out here in Liberia. The Wire’s and the Mauldin’s are really going to give us AMERICANS a feast, mashed potatoes and the whole nine yards. Thanks again.

Karl and Jan took their daughter Kaylee (the boys had other plans) to see the Veterans Memorial Wall in Henderson, NV. It was a really special moment and I am so proud of my Father, brothers, nephews and niece that have served in the Military. You are all so awesome!!
